Vancouver Sculpture Biennale Story

The Vancouver International Sculpture Biennale is a bi-annual city-wide celebration that benefits the city, its citizens and visitors. Open Spaces highlights Vancouver’s public spaces with an 18-month installation of major public art sculptures, international works of art from around the world, installed throughout Vancouver. The exhibition officially launched in September 2005 with a series of unique unveiling ceremonies. The Biennale, which closes in December 2006, is the largest public art exhibit and festival in Vancouver and the only event of its kind in North America.
